One that's reversible! Two skirts in one is always a winner. All the little girls I know are big fans of reversible clothes, and this skirt is no exception. The So Flippin' Cute Skirt* by Tie Dye Diva.
I should mention now, that the waistband on the skirt above is slightly different to that in the final version. The final waistband casing is a little narrower, and has edgestitching for a neater finish.
The skirt has the option of a solid skirt piece, pockets and a contrast bottom band. You can use any combination of these to make your own unique version of the skirt.
The pattern includes full step-by-step instructions with the option of printable pieces or measurements to cut your own rectangles.
The construction technique is pretty amazing, with no handstitching required to complete the skirt.
It's such a fun pattern, quick to make up, and perfect for playing in. A great wardrobe-builder.
I made a size 6, and the contrast band and pockets can be cut out of a fat quarter.
The pattern is on sale for $5 for release, and is available for purchase from the Tie Dye Diva pattern shop.
