Classic Maillot ..... with Sleeves!

This girl is just too much!

And the Classic Maillot swimsuit pattern just keeps giving. About this time last year the Classic Maillot pattern by Call Ajaire was released.  And now, a free add-on for sleeves has become available!

Not only are there all the options in the original pattern, there's the tankini and skirt version. And now, sleeves! Choose from long or short.

And the best bit is .... these sleeves also coordinate with the new Sash Swimsuit! Here's a sneak peek of one I have sewn up, ready for photos.

I'm just loving the 80's styling. Just wait til you see the whole thing!

The sleeve pattern includes a piece across the back to help keep the sleeves on.  There's an option for adding a bow there, which is super cute!

This version is sewn up in cotton lycra. Miss M has been learning ballet this year, so this suit is perfect for practice at home (she has a set uniform for classes).

And being a child of the 80's I had to add a couple of bonus items.  Legwarmers and a funky headband.  And then top it all off with a side ponytail (oh yeah).

The base pattern is available here.

The sleeve add-on can be accessed via the Designs by Call Ajaire Shop.

I should also add that the sleeves on this suit are slightly different to the finished pattern.  In the final version they were adjusted to reduce bagginess under the arm and avoid a too-tight wrist.

Make sure you check out all the new Sash Swimsuit options, but don't forget the Classic!
